Developed by BenQ Materials’ performance textile brand, Xpore, in collaboration with Far Eastern New Century (FENC), e2cycle is a brand new technology that recycles electronic waste into high-quality PET fibers for sustainable textile applications.

MUNICH, GERMANY —At Booth K14 during the Performance Days Functional Fabric Fair (October 23-24), Xpore will showcase e2cycle, a revolutionary approach that converts e-waste into premium PET for performance textiles. This initiative not only reduces landfill waste but also addresses the growing demand for eco-friendly raw materials in the textile industry.

The groundbreaking e2cycle initiative combines Xpore’ s expertise in functional textiles with FENC’ s advanced recycling technology. By utilizing mechanical recycling, BenQ Materials and FENC transform electronic waste into fabrics and PET membranes for Xpore. These materials are then laminated to create 100% PFC-free, mono PET waterproof textiles, which are supplied to leading fashion brands.

This technology not only promotes the reuse of electronic waste but also provides a high-value solution for integrating recycled PET into high-performance apparel. The e2cycle collaboration opens new opportunities for sustainable innovation in textile manufacturing.
